Mihály Munkácsy Standing Exhibition
The Museum of Békéscsaba was named after Mihály Munkácsy in 1951. The main purpose of the Munkácsy exhibitions is to direct the attention to the master, but also to cultivate his cult that is still in existence.
The small farmhouse, the furnished farmhouse and the partially preserved, partly transposed farm buildings of the Csaba Exhibition Place of History of Farms and Cereals - a.k.a the Cereals Museum - were built in 1824 and recall traditional peasant farming.
